Sorry guys for not updating the blog in a while. In all honesty, it is not my fault. Mommy got really sick last month and to top things off she lost the charger to the camera. Thank God she finally found it and now we are back in business.
So this past month, we had a lot of family in town, we went to Jeet’s graduation, had a lot of playdates and birthday parties. I have also learned to pull down my pants, I don’t know how to get them back on again. I am starting to group words together like “all done” and “papa over there.” All in all life is good.
Here are a couple pics that mommy took today. I will upload the rest from this past month soon.

Sorry guys that it has taken so long to update the blog to tell you all about my fabulous trip to Michigan. I have been under the weather with my first ear infection. It was miserable. I came back from Michigan on Monday. That night I woke up screaming. Mom and dad couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. The next day my nanny noticed that I was just out of it. By the evening I was running a temperature of 102.6. The following day I was even worse. Mom took me to the pediatrician and he diagnosed me with a bilateral ear infection. He put me on some antibiotics – which is the nastiest tasting medicine ever. It takes two people to get me to take this medicine. On the other hand, I love the taste of Tylenol. I could down a whole sippy cup of that stuff.
Now that I am feeling a lot better and my fever is gone, I can tell you guys all about my trip to Michigan. We had two weddings to go to – Nirav Uncle’s and Sheetal Aunty’s. Instead of flying back and forth for both wedding we decided to spend the week in Michigan. I got to spend a lot of quality time with Ba, Dada and Masi Ba. Natasha Foi and Shitang Kaka also came to visit. From playing in the park, going to Dada’s country club and trying to play golf, going to the library, and dancing my tail off at the wedding events, I couldn’t have asked for a better week. Here are some of my favorite pics and a slide show of all the fun.

As usual I had to go to the pediatrician for a well checkup. He said I was doing great. He was happy with my vocabulary and my growth. Some of my new words this week include Erna for Ernie and umbrella.
The pediatrician did, however, notice that I was starting to get an overbite because I was still drinking my milk from a bottle and using my pacifier at night. He said it had to stop. In all honesty, I don’t know what the big deal is with having an overbite…I can just get braces in a few years.
Well here are my stats…it seems that I have had quite a growth spurt.
Weight: 26lbs 4oz (60th percentile and I have gained 1 lbs 7 oz lbs from my last visit)
Height: 34.5 inches (95th percentile and I have grown 1.5 inches).
Head Circ.: 18.875 inches (50th percentile and up 0.375 inches).
Last weekend was also Mother’s Day. I know how mama likes to sleep in. I initially got up at 7AM but then went back to sleep until 9AM. Mama was so happy to get some extra sleep. Mama had also been wanting a new wallet. So me and daddy picked one out for her and she loved it. The rest of the day we just took it easy.

When I was born, everyone kept saying I looked just like my dad. There were a few people who said I looked like my Thatha. As I have aged, people are saying I look more like my mom and at times Bha. What do you guys think?

I went on my first trip to NYC and I loved it. The best part was all the traffic. At one point we were stuck in traffic for over two hours and I got to see so many buses and trucks – it was amazing. Mom and dad also took me to Central Park – what a fun place. We were there for Swatee Aunty’s wedding. I went to the sangeet, but I wasn’t invited to the wedding. Luckily my nanny Ms. Pinky came along to watch me while mom and dad went to the wedding. All in all my first impression of NYC was extremely positive. I want to go there again soon. Below are some recent pics, including ones from my trip to the big apple.
I also wanted to share some new words with you…dhup thup (dump truck), bhaaaaa (bus), and bu-dhaaaa (buddha). Also, in view of my love of trucks, mom got me the best book ever. I read it over and over again and quite honestly, I don’t understand why this book hasn’t made the NY Times bestseller list.

Natasha Foi came to visit and we had a blast. She hadn’t seen me since I started walking. I had to show off my walking/running skills. I also updated her on my love of trucks and helicopters (aka heli-kakas). We had a playdate with my man Saavan. We topped the weekend off with a Easter egg hunt and a round of golf. I was so sad to see her leave.
Check out the pics of my fun weekend and the video of my amazing golf skills.

I come from a long line of tennis players…well not necessarily a long line, but both my parents are avid tennis players. More importantly, my parents first date was a result of a tennis match. Without tennis, I don’t know where I would be. To carry on the family tradition, I have already started perfecting my tennis moves. The first picture shows my serious tennis face. I use this face to scare off my competitors. The second picture shows my amazing top spin backhand swing. Tennis world…look out.

Honestly, what can I do to get a good meal these days? My parents continue to struggle with my finicky eating. My taste buds are developing and I am going to constantly keep changing the foods I like on a daily basis (maybe even on an hourly basis). Why should be parents gets so worked up if I devour a slice of pizza one day and the next day clinch my mouth closed and throw the pieces of pizza at mom while she tries to feed me? They need to just get over it and feed me something else. Reliable choices of food include cheese, yogurt and apple sauce – everything else is a crap shoot. There is just no need to worry. Check out the pics below – I am happy and I am not emaciated.

Even though we live in the big city now, my mom grew up in a small, hick town in Southwest, Virginia. Her southern drawl might have faded but deep down inside she is still a hillbilly at heart. I was lucky to head down to her hometown (Wise, VA) this past weekend. I met some of her high school teachers and tons of the Indian Uncles and Aunties that my mom grew up with. I wish Ajji and Thatha still lived there, so that it would be easier to see them more often.
We stayed at Aunty Ranjana’s parent’s house. Kairav was there and we were as thick as thieves. Look at some pics of us hanging out and me trying to steal Kairav’s lunch.

We were there to celebrate Puneet Uncle’s wedding. I got all dressed up for the big event and partied into the wee hours of the night.
