While Utpal and Karsin were in NJ for a family wedding,  Khalin got to play football at FedEx Field.   He and his flag football buddies played (and won) three games.  Nothing like watching Khalin get to score a touchdown in his favorite teams football field.   They also were lucky enough to get a tour of the stadium.   Here are the pics from the game and also the wedding that Utpal and Karsin are attending.

We were supposed to fly out to Florida yesterday.   Seats weren’t assigned and when we got there they said they were overbooked.  Couldn’t get on the flight so we leave today (but luckily with a bunch of travel vouchers in hand).  So we went home and then hit the playground.

If you look through my baby photos you will notice that there virtually no pics of me as a baby.  To compensate, I seem to know when a camera is in a 50 mile radius so that I can never miss being in a pic.  However, in my house, I am the camera queen.  So now I am faced with tons of pics of the kids but very few pics of me with them.  Once a year I make a point to pay a photographer enormous amounts of money so that I can get some good pics with the kids.

Drum roll please…here are the 2016 pics!

Our little guy turned 6 and he celebrated with a baseball birthday party with his buddies.  The month was also filled with ton of sports.  Khalin’s football team finished a perfect regular season.  Khalin also made travel basketball and both boys had tons of soccer games.  Then halloween rolled around and the boys had a blast time collecting tons of candy as superman and a halo fighter.

This past week was the first week of school.  Khalin started 3rd grade and Karsin started kindergarten.  Both boys are in school full time!  No preschool tuition payments!  Dropping off Khalin the first day was so simple.  He walked right in.  He absolutely loves his teacher and being in third grade.  The transition from Kinhaven to elementary school has not gone so well for Karsin.  Knowing Karsin, we weren’t surprised.  He doesn’t do well in new situations with new people.  He is a creature of comfort.  We got to school and after we dropped off Khalin, you could see Karsin becoming visibly tense.  We got to the classroom and he informed me that he wasn’t staying.  He was in full fledged crying mode.  Then he attempt the great escape.  He ran out of the classroom and then straight out of the school. It took a trip to the nurse’s office and me leaving him there to calm down.  As I left, I was in tears.  He made it through week 1, but the days have been long for him.  Hopefully week 2 will be better.

The picture at least came out well…

Three years flew by.  We needed a third car when our au pair arrived in 2013.  With both boys now in school full time and a new nanny who drives with her own car, we said bye to our third car.  These pics show that the boys are truly Ford Tough…thanks for the great ride!

In 2009, Khalin started this wonderful preschool known as Kinhaven.  Karsin joined in 2012.  For nearly 7 years, the school looked after our children, taught them and helped them grown.  July 8th was our very last day at that wonderful school.  His preschool ended in June, but Karsin had one last session of camp there.  Hard to believe my boys are done with preschool – it truly is bittersweet.  Happy about no more tuition payments, but sad to not see Karsin play basketball in the mornings at the gym, bring home rainbow bear, the walk up the stairs and seeing my boys happy faces when I picked them up from school, the warm smiles of the staff, the over the top amazing decoration of Ms. Kathy and the list goes on and on.  I am grateful we found this school and will miss it dearly.  Here are some of Karsin’s fun memories from the school (including his first day pic and last day)
