December 2008

Last week mom and dad got me all dressed up to go to the mall. Once we got there we waited in line to visit this old (I mean really old) man wearing this crazy red suit. Next thing I know I am sitting on his lap and I am wondering to myself who the heck is this guy and what is all the fuss. There were so many people who wanted to see this guy. At first I just was staring at him but then I flipped out a bit and mom and dad finally saved me. Here is a picture of this guy – does anyone have any idea who he is?

Who is this guy?

I also got to go to Kush’s second birthday party. Here are some recent pics of me and also pics of all the fun from the birthday party.

Recently, I blogged about how my mom waged a war against me and my bottle (view post). Mommy and her army (the pediatrician and the nanny) fought hard to impose the new sippy cup regime on me. I thought I had won the battle. I first got my nanny to cave and once mom realized that her chief commanding officer was a softy, mom retreated and let me enjoy my bottle in peace.

After a few weeks and out of nowhere mom staged a sneak attack on me on Sunday. During dinner she shoved the sippy cup back in my mouth. She filled the sippy cup with this delicious nectar (v8 fusion) and once a drop touched my lips, I wanted more. Next thing I know I am drinking the juice out of the sippy cup with no complaints. Then on Monday she tempted me with the juice again. This time I grabbed the sippy cup out of her hand and drank out of it on my own.

Even though the bottle has not been exiled from our household, I guess I am starting to become a loyal servant of the sippy cup regime.

Here I am with my sippy cup. I have also included a bunch of pictures from Thanksgiving and the past couple of weeks.

As I stated in my previous post, mommy’s friend Pooja just started her own photography company with her brother (www.bluelotusdc.com). They came over a few weeks ago and took some amazing pictures of the family. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Yesterday my grandfather (mom’s dad) left to go back to India. He had been visiting me for over two months and I was soooo sad to see him leave. He taught me my first boxing moves, how to fake sneeze and I taught him my modified version of peek-a-boo (i.e. the one where you cover only one eye and use your other hand to pat the top of your head).

Here are some pics of me and thatha – they were taken by mommy’s friend Pooja Aunty and her brother who just started their own photography company (www.bluelotusdc.com). I will be posting more pics from that photo shoot soon.
